Forum Title: Removing Tile How Long?
Looking at a job Monday to demo a bathroom floor of tile. I suspect the duro rock is either nailed or screwed down with thinset as the bonding agent. I got a Hilti chipping hammer for the tile and roughy know how long it will take to remove. My question is how long will it take to remove 80 square feet of dura rock ? Will it just pop up with the blade and chipper? Or will this be one of these jobs that you fight every inch? Just looking for some idea. Don't have time for this but since its been raining almost every day a inside job would be nice for a couple of days.

I'm guessing the subfloor is coming up with that Durock- or maybe you will get lucky and the previous guy cut a few corners, including screwing Durock without thinset. Pull the toilet and check the layers to find out.
